By the time you have completed your Essential Navigation & Seamanship shore based course, and achieved your Start Yachting or Competent Crew Course Completion Certificates, you will know if you have been “bitten” and be properly prepared to take the next step along the road to fulfilling your sailing dream, the RYA Day Skipper course.
If you have previous experience of sailing with family, friends or a holiday outing, and have already decided that it is for you, you may skip these introductory courses and go straight into RYA Competent Crew and begin your sail training in earnest.
